This Thai-inspired cocktail is an invigorating tipple for a warm day. The mixture of lemon, makrut lime, and lemongrass flavors wakes up the palate and uplifts your spirit.


low prep Buddhas Tipple

Ingredients:

  • 45 ml Stolichnaya
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 15 ml makrut lime (also known as kaffir lime*) syrup
  • 10 ml lemongrass syrup
  • 2 small stalks of lemongrass
  • ginger beer

Directions:

  1. Muddle lemongrass in a copper mug.
  2. Add ice and add Stolichnaya, lemon juice, makrut lime syrup, and lemongrass syrup.
  3. Stir and add more ice.
  4. Add other ingredients and stir.
  5. Add tube ice and garnish with a lemongrass stalk.

* In some cultures, the word “kaffir” is a derogatory slur. We’re using “makrut” here as recommended by The Oxford Companion to Food.
