A gin fizz is a classic cocktail made of gin, sours, soda, and sugar. This version adds the floral honeyed sweetness of elderflower liqueur and a cool touch of fresh cucumber for a refreshing drink on a hot day.



  • 25 mL Absolut Citron
  • 25 mL Beefeater Gin
  • 15 mL lemon juice
  • 20 mL Giffard’s Elderflower Syrup (or St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur)
  • 5 mL sugar syrup
  • A dash of soda
  • 2 thick wheels of cucumber

Glass: Collins glass


  1. In a shaker, muddle the cucumber.
  2. Add all ingredients except for the soda.
  3. Add ice and shake until ice cold.
  4. Double strain into a collins glass.
  5. Add ice and top with soda.
  6. Garnish with a cucumber strip accordioned in a cocktail stick.
