Wednesday is one of the best nights of the week to go out for some cocktails. It’s like a midweek treat—you just survived Monday and Tuesday, and you’re almost ready for the week to end. If you’re up for some high-quality gin cocktails, head to the quaint gin bar The Bonbon Club tucked away on Gallardo Street on Wednesdays and enjoy free-flowing gin cocktails for only P1000 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. If you think you can down more than three glasses, then P1000 is a steal. Drinks by head bartender Tammy Tavera include Bramble, Martini, Negroni, Tom Collins, Bee’s Knees, Clover Club, Gin Highball, Salty Dog, and Bombay & Tonic.


Alternative Coffee Brewing 101

If you’re a coffee enthusiast and would like to learn how to make great coffee at home, Alternative Coffee Brewing 101 might be for you. The three-hour Enderun course covers brewing and extraction 101 using the AeroPress, French Press, and Pour Over methods. There’s also a demo for the class on how to make iced coffee using the same alternate brewing methods. And since it is a short course, you can even use what you’ll learn for business. The course costs P3,500.

Fiesta Mexicana 2016
  • When: September 24 (Saturday)
  • Time: 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Where: The Ruins located at Alfonso St, Poblacion Makati

Celebrate Mexican culture and history with the best Mexican restaurants in Manila under one roof at Fiesta Mexicana. For P150 a drink enjoy a night of Mexican beers, tequilas, horchata, and margaritas. This year’s party will feature food from Tacos Chingones, A’Toda Madre, Chihuahua Mexican Grill, El Chupacabra, and El Jefe.


California Signature Collection Wine Dinner
  • When: September 27 (Tuesday)
  • Time: 7 p.m.
  • Where: Flame Restaurant, Discovery Primea, Makati City

If you’re up for a night of gourmet food and fine wine you might want to book this wine dinner with a six-course menu by Chef Luis Chikiamco paired with the best of Californian wines. Flame’s culinary team Modern European cuisine with an Asian twist highlights the finest USDA ingredients. The menu consists of duo appetizer oyster fricassée and U.S. beef tenderloin carpaccio paired with Sonoma County 2014 wine; seared foie gras paired with Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs 2013; Josper-grilled Pacific gindara paired with Chateau Montelena Chardonnay; sangria sorbet; Asian-roasted maple leaf duck paired with Dierberg Pinot Noir, Santa Maria Valley 2012; slow-braised U.S. beef short ribs paired with Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2013; and chocolate “coulant” with coffee or tea for dessert.

A Jazz Symphony of 11 Botanicals with Tasha Lu
  • When: September 28

For one night only, Hendrick’s Gin Brand Ambassador Tasha Lu will craft special cocktails for the curious palate at Sage Bar. Tasha spent the last four years managing and operating bars such as famous Eau de Vie in Melbourne before she became the face for Hendrick’s Gin for Southeast Asia. She will be bringing in her expertise and introducing guests to her signature mixed drinks. Guests may also order their favorite Hendricks cocktails and purchase bottles at a special price. A live jazz band will play music starting at 9 p.m.

The Vintage Cocktail Hour

The popular ABV (the speakeasy-style cocktail bar inside Lazy Bastard) holds its first first pop-up event as ABV’s GM and head bartender Ken Bandivas and talented bartender Lester Ligon create craft cocktails at La Creperie in BGC. Enjoy a night of good drinks and sweet dessert while listening to vintage music and performances by the Slinks.


Brewfest MNL
  • When: September 30 (Friday) to October 2 (Sunday)
  • Time: 3 p.m.

Serving over 70 variants of local brews, the festival aims to showcase the best local craft brewers and finest up and coming food merchants. Try fresh brews from Pedro Brewcrafters, Crazy Carabao Brewing Co., Crows Craft Brewing Co., Palaweño Brewery, Great Islands Craft Brewery,The Cebruery, Juan Brew, 63 North Brewing Company, Nipa Brew Craft Beers, Joe’s Brew, Baler Brewing Co, The Bottle Shop, Alamat Craft Brew, Global Beer Exchange, The Laughing Carabao Craftbeers, Turning Wheels, Craftpoint Brewing Co., and The Brewery at The Palace.


The Molito Oktoberfest

Celebrate Oktoberfest in the South at the very first Molito Oktoberfest. Drink a selection of beers from LA to Tokyo with food from your favorite Molito establishments while enjoying music from live bands and beats from DJs Mikhail Schemm and Tom Turner, who have played dance halls and parties in Berlin, Rome, Ibiza, Hong Kong, Milan, and Zürich. Entry tickets entitle each holder to a German platter, an apfelstrudel, a seat in a designated area, and access to the dancefloor. There will also be a raffle with prizes from Bambike, Tabacalera, Volkswagen, and many more.

Tickets available at the Molito Admin Office. Tickets are P1,950 per person, or P1,800 each if you’re buying for a group of three, P1,700 each for a group of five, and P1,600 each for a table of 10.
