It’s the third beer in the company’s Revolution series after Liberation (a spicy, fruity pale ale) and Revolution (an IPA Tripel). Redemption (a spicy Belgian stout), Revolution (an IPA Tripel), and Liberation (a spicy, fruity pale ale) “I’m a coffee drinker, so I like stouts,” explains master brewer Aldous Bernardo, who founded Craftpoint in 2013 with co-owners Chip Vega and Marvin Moreno. The inspiration for the spicy stout was chocolate cake with oranges. The microbrewery used yeast from Liberation and added coriander and orange peels to incorporate the dessert concept in its first dark beer. The result is a roasted and rich brew with notes of chocolate, spice, and fruit.
