Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Pinterest If you look up at the sky at approximately 7:21 p.m. tonight, (Monday, Nov. 14, 2016), the moon will appear bigger and brighter than it has in almost 70 years. That’s because it’s turning full at the same time that it’s reaching the point in its orbit where it’s closest to earth. The non-astronomical term for this is “supermoon.” This one’s special because the moon will be 221,524 miles from Earth (the average distance is 248,900 miles) and the moon won’t be this close to our planet until 2034. So where will you be for this once-in-a-generation lunar event? Here are our picks for the best rooftop bars where you can observe the supermoon tonight: Oz Bar Roof Deck, Holiday Inn & Suites Makati, Palm Drive, Makati A photo posted by 辻堂美智子 Michiko Tsujido (@tsujidomichiko) on Jun 25, 2014 at 10:45pm PDT The Holiday Inn & Suites has a relaxing rooftop bar What to Drink: Enjoy the cool poolside breeze with refreshing cocktails like the mojito-inspired Jinx (white rum, brandy, grape juice, mint, lime) and and El Draque (gin, mint, lime, lemonade, kiwi, cucumber) or the signature Royal Green (tequila, basil, cucumber, lemon juice).
