Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Pinterest Thank you for sharing your love for whisky by joining our Malt Manila contest. We had so much fun choosing the creative photos shared on social media and we’ve chosen our favorite entries. The winner of two tickets to the First Annual Malt Manila Whisky Festival is Tara Cabullo @champagnedreams for her Kavalan Solist entry. Whisky is always perceived as one of the most masculine choices at the bar, but its no longer a surprise that a lot of women prefer this spirit. Cheers to Tara and her love for whisky! We’re excited for her to experience Malt Manila on March 31, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 12 midnight where she can mingle with whisky lovers and aficionados for a night of whisky appreciation activities and masterclasses. Up to last year, whiskey intimated me. Something about it was not for the faint of heart {or nose, or tastebuds}. I reserved whiskey as drink of choice for women whose characters strengthened by time. I did not consider myself as one. Fast forward to now, I've developed a taste for an elusive but hard core liquor. I love whiskey, single malt or blended, because I've found that its notes are ones my tongue can distinguish better than any other. I love that it doesn't intoxicate me and every sip is just like a trip to the casks and country of where it's from. This particular favorite is a Kavalan Solist, dark mouth watering raisin, dried fruit and marzipan notes with a hint of fine coffee palate, hails from Taiwan. 🥃🥃🥃 #kavalan #solist #maltmanila2017 #sınglemalt #drinkmanila #womenandwhiskies A post shared by Tara Cabullo (@champagnedreams) on Mar 26, 2017 at 12:03am PDT Watch out for our next contest and keep sharing your drink experiences with us using the hashtag #DrinkManila. Here are some of our favorite entries from the contest: I love whiskey because of its earthy flavor profiles that is perfectly paired with spices, like nutmeg and cinnamon, in creating strong and spirit-forward cocktails. I guess it's full-bodied texture is what makes it challenging for mixologists in crafting cocktails that marry well with whiskey's character. "'Knack' on Wood" is a cocktail I made using my all-time favorite whiskey, Johnnie Walker Gold Label. It is a rich, spirit-forward drink with Campari, orange marmalade, lime, agave nectar and cinnamon, shaken and served over ice in a rocks glass and garnished with a cinnamon stick. Whichever way you enjoy drinking your whiskey, drink it with cheers!!! 🍸😉😊 #maltmanila2017 #drinkmanila #modernlibations #cocktailculture #mixologistworld #modernmixology #avalango #perfectserve #bar369 #bartenderdiaries #customcocktails #diageo #diageophilippines #diageoph #johnniewalker #johnniewalkergoldlabel #lovescotch #whiskeylover #scotch #campari A post shared by Cef Occeña (@ceficefcef) on Mar 20, 2017 at 3:10am PDT SURFING and WHISKY, two of the things i love the most and keeps me STOKED..🏄 🍺 #ilovewhisky #maltmanila2017 #drinkmanila #whiskylovers #whisky #blacklabel #surfing #liwliwa #zambales #beach A post shared by @blinkingeye_travels on Mar 22, 2017 at 5:46am PDT I love whisky because good girls are made of sugar and spice but me and my girls are made of whisky and ice 😉 #drinkmanila #maltmanila2017 A post shared by k6ts the running surfer (@ketikat) on Mar 26, 2017 at 5:19pm PDT I love whisky because Whisky is liquid sunshine. 😎 #drinkmanila #maltmanila2017 @drinkmanila @maltmanila2017 A post shared by Miah Servillon (@miahservillon) on Mar 18, 2017 at 10:14pm PDT I love whiskey because when life offers bumps and beans, it gives me a certain kind of whizzed to go through and take the ride. 🥃 #maltmanila2017 #drinkmanila #whiskey #andyplayer #whiskeylover #alcohol #wheninmanila #thedrinkhunter #drinks #whiskyporn #nightlife #whisky #cheers A post shared by Dennis Ong (@ongerz) on Mar 22, 2017 at 7:33am PDT I love whisky because it's like a kiss… It's perfect to be taken slowly and better shared with someone you love. #drinkmanila #maltmanila2017 @maltmanila2017 @drinkmanila #yamazakiph #hibiki12 @all_about_whisky A post shared by Orwella (@montagnaoas) on Mar 24, 2017 at 1:27am PDT
