A great meal can only be made better by having great drinks with it. With that in mind, DrinkManila is stepping out of your screen and into real life with a pop-up bar at premier food and lifestyle market Mercato BGC to give you a taste of exciting craft cocktails straight from the recipe section of the DrinkManila website.

DrinkManila Pop-up Bar, Mercato BGC

The DrinkManila Pop-Up Bar debuted at Mercato BGC last Friday, September 22, to a curious crowd. The addition of a cocktail bar to the line-up of drink options was a welcome surprise for Mercato attendees. Most associate cocktails with dimly lit, concept-driven bars. DrinkManila aims to bridge that gap so guests get to experience quality cocktails in an informal setting.

Served in cups with our trademark fish logo, Mercato patrons enjoyed the drinks while munching on the yummy grub from vendors. The DrinkManila Pop-Up Bar at Mercato BGC eases people into the concept of normalizing drinking cocktails while at a food market. It’s a great way to have a fuss-free, laid-back dinner and cocktails with friends or significant others or to pre-game with your barkada before heading out to other bars. The bar and market closes at 2 a.m., so you can load up on booze without breaking the bank and bond with your friends before taking off and heading to the exclusive clubs around the area.

Don’t Go Bananas (rum blend, banana syrup, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and banana candy)

The beverage menu features cocktails that can be found on DrinkManila’s website. Most of the members of the alcoholic family were represented: rum, vodka, whisky, gin, and even lambanog. On the menu were Rumma Dumdam (rum, lime juice, calamansi juice, and ginger beer), Don’t Go Bananas (rum blend, banana syrup, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and banana candy), The Kami Way (white rum, kamias juice, lime juice, and simple syrup), Saving Sally (lemon and lime Skittles-infused Citron Vodka, apple juice, simple syrup, sparkling water, and green apple), Player Rickey (whisky, lime juice, sparkling water, and lime wheel), Scarlet Letter (gin, berry rhapsody reduction, sparkling water, and lime wedge), and The Far Side (lambanog, dalandan liqueur, ripe mango juice, and cucumber).

The DrinkManila Pop-Up Bar is not just for imbibers of alcohol, as it also offers mocktails to satiate the thirst of those who wish to abstain. The refreshing and refined soft drinks with catchy names such as Miley O’Citrus (sparkling water, dry bitters orange syrup, and lemon wedge), I Ain’t Bitter (sparkling water, pomelo grapefruit syrup, and lime wedge), and Crime of Passion (sparkling water, passionfruit syrup, and lemon wedge), provided a novel alternative to sodas and fruit juices.

Customers who purchase any of the pop-up bar’s signature cocktails receives a free Makati/BGC delivery voucher from online store bevtools.com.
