DrinkManila Bartender Throwdown is a series of bar takeovers where DrinkManila mentors take a group of drink enthusiasts, train them, help them concoct signature serves, and pit them against each other in a cocktail battle bar shift to raise funds for the benefit of The Red Whistle, a collaborative platform supporting People Living with HIV and AIDS through various media awareness campaigns. The first leg in the exciting DrinkManila Bartender Throwdown series showcases superbod celebrities as they make their bartending debut at DULO MNL in Poblacion. The two teams practiced their flair bartending moves with guidance from Liquid Concepts mentors Larry Guevarra and Sharleen Antonio and trained their palates to mix cocktails with the help of DrinkManila’s resident mixologist Icy Mariñas. Meet our contenders: TEAM 1 The Sexy Beaches teams up Century Superbods 2018 winners Angel Jones and Jules Aquino. Watch them whip up tropical cocktails influenced by the sun, surf, and sand. Jules Aquino and Angel Jones Angel Jones a.k.a. “The Hot Ex-Girlfriend” is a fitness and self-love advocate. She’s a fixture in many ad campaigns, events, TV shows, and even your dreams. This gorgeous diva is a former band member of the popular ‘90s band Kulay and hot momma to superstar Tony Labrusca. Yep, we can only wish we look as good as she is when we turn 40! Liquid Concepts mentors Larry Guevarra and Sharleen Antonio training Angel and Jules DrinkManila’s resident mixologist Icy Mariñas with Angel during the mixology mentorship Jules Aquino a.k.a. “Sporty Stud” is the grand winner for 2018 Century Tuna Superbods alongside Angel. Liquid Concepts mentors Larry Guevarra and Sharleen Antonio training Cris and Miguel Cris Lomotan a.k.a. “Mr. Outkast” is a model/actor/entrepreneur who caught the eye of many with his acting stint in the hit TV series Imortal. More than just a pretty face and a hot bod, Cris has branched out to the world of apparel and founded Outkast Paradigm, a lifestyle streetwear line. This fitness and lifestyle influencer can crack you up with his adorable, funny antics. Miguel and Cris making their perfect serve Miguel Lasala a.k.a. “Hot Son of a Gun” is a member of the PMAP (Professional Models Association of the Philippines) making him a runway and editorial mainstay. Vote for your favorite team by buying their cocktails, the crowd’s favorite will win the challenge. Each group will be presenting one cocktail (P250) and one cocktail shooter (P150). As an entrance to the event, get one stub for a cocktail and one stub for cocktail shooter available for sale during the event. You can buy as many stubs as you like as support for your favorite teams. Guests can also participate in a silent auction of an exclusive SelvaRey bottle signed by Bruno Mars.
