San Miguel Brewery Inc. (SMB) is a homegrown brand that has made a mark in the lives of Filipinos for 128 years. Its famous brews is rich in history, heritage, and countless tales that have been passed down for generations.

In those transformative years, we’ve seen the brand going through many exciting facets of what it stands for, from celebration, patriotism, long-time friendship, to romance and more. With its various compelling campaigns, the iconic brand is forever etched in our hearts; it’s a staple drink that will remind us of home and the nostalgic feeling of having a good time.

And as we bid goodbye to the year that has been, SMB has launched yet another campaign that will take beer-drinking to a whole new level of experience through a capsule bar that showcases the brand’s heritage and a look into its future.

The 67-square meter capsule bar boasts of a modern façade, and an elaborate classic interior complete with fixtures that will remind you of Manila’s great era through San Miguel Brewery and its rich brewing tradition. The “drink to heritage and beyond” theme of the bar was inspired by its ambition to create a larger than life and interactive social space that will gather individuals from different cultures and genres of art and music. And so it did, the launch headlined today’s frontrunners from Manila’s nascent music scene.

Taking control of the vibe and music that night was DJ Samantha Nicole, DJ San Soda, and DJ Emel Rowe, joined by beat maker and music producer CRWN and youth culture’s poster boy and one of Careless Music Manila’s lead artists, Curtismith.

As a nod to the brand’s long history of brewing, the set up inside the bar is reminiscent of its important phases throughout the century. Old photos and paintings, as well as heirlooms and other antiquities, featured a multi-dimensional and immersive space for partygoers. It was a night brimming with creativity and music, while the venue was pervaded with laughter as people enjoy their glasses of five San Miguel variants served that night—San Miguel Pale Pilsen, San Miguel Super Dry, Cerveza Negra, San Miguel Premium All-Malt, and San Miguel Light.

Manila’s young creative purveyors and celebrities attended the festivity, including singer-songwriter Leila Alcasid, social media personality Nicole Andersson, GMA artists Lovi Poe and David Licauco, and fashion stylist Florian Trinidad.
