Who can resist something that looks this good? Pink Bucharita is a bright and refreshing mocktail that is tart, slightly sweet, and effervescent. This non-alcoholic recipe is perfect for parties or whenever you need a fresh pick-me-up. The fizz tickles the nose while the deep sweet citrusy notes balance the acidity, with just the faintest hint of pink peppercorn spice dancing on the tongue.  

*Spike this recipe with 45 ml of rum if you want to make it into a cocktail. 

Ingredients

60 ml shrub
60 ml Black Tea Kombucha
Top with soda water 60 ml

How to Make the Shrub 

(The recipe makes 600 ml)
Muddle 1 cup of peeled and diced grapefruit. 
Muddle 1 cup of diced fresh pineapple.  
Muddle 1 cup of diced lemon.  
Add 1 cup of sugar and 1 and 1/2 cups of sugarcane vinegar, and 1 teaspoon crushed pink peppercorns.
Refrigerate for 12 hours.   
Strain in a container and set aside. 

How to Make the Mocktail

Cut a lemon wedge and moisten the rim of the glass and rim with sugar and crushed pink peppercorns. 
Add ice. 
Pour in the shrub and black tea kombucha. 
Top with soda water. Serve.
