The holidays are a time for parties, and games are a big part of celebrations. Drinking games add fun and excitement to any get-together and are highlights of almost every gathering. Put a little more holiday cheer into your parties and bond with your friends and loved ones with these beer games.

1) Beer Block Tower

There are a bunch of wood stacking toys that you can adapt to be a drinking game (whoever tips it over drinks the whole glass/bottle) or write your own tasks or consequences on the blocks. Some game sets have the drinking tasks already written on the blocks, and each player has to follow whatever is on them. Make beer your liquor of choice for these games so you can have a more extended play and drinking session. Serve various beers for your friends, a bottle of San Miguel Premium All-Malt for the sophisticated palate, a bottle of San Miguel Super Dry for the person who likes amber lagers with strong aromatic hop notes, and a Cerveza Negra for that friend who likes bold and daring flavors.

2) Drinking Card and Board Games

Pretty much anything can be made into a drinking game. Level up your usual card and board games by injecting some beer into the mix. You can make up your own rules depending on the games you’re playing. Take a swig every time one of your opponents puts down a flush on a pusoy dos game. Drink half a bottle when you get a particularly cutting card while playing Hugot cards. Let your imagination run wild with the rules you want to apply.

3) Wreath Toss

The ring toss is a childhood game that everyone played growing up in amusement parks, local carnivals, and fairs. The rules are simple. Throw a ring at bottles and get points for when you manage to toss it onto the bottle’s neck. The rules are the same here, but the holiday twist is that instead of regular rings, you use Christmas wreaths. Not only do they make the whole game more festive, but it also adds a bit of a challenge since the leaves on the wreaths make it a bit more difficult to shoot them onto the bottlenecks. In this setup, Cerveza Negra, the dark brew with the sweet taste of roasted malt, is the toughest level. Be daring and aim for the bottles that are farther away and will get you more points. Fortune favors the bold, after all.

4) Scrabble

Yes, Scrabble. Even the geeky word board game can be turned into a sophisticated drinking game. It would be easy to have the other players drink every time you land on a double or triple word score, but why not put your abilities to the test by making a themed drinking Scrabble game. All the words played have to be related to or about drinking. This game will challenge even the most seasoned Scrabble player. To level up the playing field you can also add levels, play it with various beer bottles, example come up with words featuring San Miguel Premium All Malt, use words like malt, malty, hop, pilsen, smooth, full-flavored, premium, or lager.

5) Spin the Bottle – Truth or Drink

Spin the Bottle is another classic game that most people know about. A bottle is placed in the middle of a group of people and someone spins it. In some variations, whoever the bottle points to gets to have a truth or dare situation or is the person the spinner will kiss, but this isn’t that version (unless you all agree you want it to be). This game is for the bold. Whoever the bottle points to gets to pick a card and has to either answer the very juicy/controversial question written on the card or drink some alcohol. After a few turns, people might braver and be more inclined to answer the ‘truth’ questions once their lips have been loosened by some sips of rich full-bodied dark Cerveza Negra.

6) Christmas Movie Drinking Game

This drinking game applies the usual movie/show drinking game rules of ‘see or hear this thing on screen, drink this much’ to your beloved Christmas movies. Have a chill evening with friends. Make some popcorn, gather around the TV, and watch flicks like Home Alone, The Santa Clause, The Grinch, or Die Hard (it is a Christmas movie) and play this fun drinking game with bottles of San Miguel beers while relaxing and rewatching holiday classics. For example, every time any character from the video mentions “Santa,” take a swig your beer bottle.

Or follow some of these ideas:

Someone wears a Santa hat - take 1 swig
A Christmas song/carol is played - 2 swigs
You can hear bells jingling in the background - 3 swigs
Someone decorates a Christmas tree - 4 swigs
They go ice skating - 5 swigs
There's a Christmas miracle - bottoms up
Someone says 'the meaning of Christmas/Christmas spirit' - beer bong

We hope that these drinking games make the holidays more fun for you and your loved ones. This holiday season enjoy a drink or two with your loved ones with San Miguel Premium All Malt, San Miguel Super Dry, and Cerveza Negra.
