Legendary brand Chivas Regal just unveiled their Limited Edition Packs at an online event for the media last October 29. This release is a collaboration with Filipino artist June Digan, who designed the Limited Edition Packs for their Chivas 12, Chivas XV, and Chivas 18 variants, just in time for the holiday season.

The whisky and their main ingredients are front and center in June’s vibrant and colorful artwork. “It’s been an honor to partner with one of the world’s most iconic whisky brands in Chivas Regal,” said June. “I was inspired not only by the experience of having good whisky, but also by Chivas’s spirit of success being a blend of many different things, which is something that’s easily applicable in my own life and career.”

“I took inspiration from Chivas’ history and its flavors. I had to dig deep on where it came from, how it all started, And I did research about the tasting notes of these variants, which became the key elements and main inspiration of the artworks,” she shared.

“Whenever we have a festive season, or deliver a packaging story, it’s really about the key flavor notes that are in our iconic flavor notes. And that story has always been told through Scottish eyes,” Tony Atayde, marketing head for Pernod Ricard Philippines, explained. “For this year, we were given the unique chance to be able to tell it through the eyes of a Filipino. It’s the first time ever that Chivas, as a brand that has been around for a very long time, has worked with a Filipino artist. And we couldn’t be happier that we could tell that story through June’s eyes.

The Limited Edition Packs are for the three variants:

Chivas 12, AKA “The Global Icon”

Matured in ex-American whiskey casks for 12 years, with flavors of ripe apple, pear, vanilla, and honey

Chivas XV

Selectively finished in cognac casks and aged for 15 years, with flavors of oranges, marmalade, honey, cinnamon, juicy sultanas, and butterscotch

Chivas 18

Over 20 of the rarest single malts and cask-aged for 18 years, with flavors of dark chocolate, oranges, butterscotch, vanilla, cinnamon, and almond

Apart from the epic collaboration with Chivas and June, the brand also introduced Owen Roberts, a Scottish whisky expert currently based in Manila, as the new brand ambassador for Chivas in the Philippines.

“I’m really stoked to be Chivas Regal’s new brand ambassador. I believe that Chivas makes some of the finest whiskies in the world, and I’m more than happy to share the amazing experience of blended scotch whisky with everyone,” said Owen.

“We’re truly excited for the new partnership with June and having Owen as a new addition to the PH team,” said Mary Jane Wong, Brand Manager. “Success really is a blend of different personalities and expertise, and we believe that great collaborations will create an impact and take us further. We hope everyone enjoys the Chivas Limited Edition Packs with their friends and family this holiday season!”
