The interactive pop-up bar, which shines the spotlight on the classic highball cocktail plus fresh new twists, will be open to the public until May 28. From the Johnnie Walker House Pop-Up in 2018 to the Johnnie Highball Arcade in 2020, and now the Johnnie Highball Bar, the leading Scotch whisky brand continues to push the envelope when it comes to offering unique drinking experiences to the thirsty public. Johnnie Walker’s signature serves The Johnnie Highball Bar features Johnnie Walker’s classic signature serves: Johnnie & Lime, plus three new exciting highballs available exclusively at the pop-up created by Diageo Brand Ambassador Rian Asiddao and Diageo Reserve World Class Philippine Bartender of the Year Lester Ligon. Johnnie Walker limited release highballs: Johnnie Citrus Smash, Johnnie Root Beer Float, Johnnie Brown Sugar Boba The Johnnie Citrus Smash is a combination of sweet, sour, and smoky flavors prepared using Johnnie Walker Black Label. Perfect for cooling down on hot days. The Johnnie Root Beer Float, the grown-up version of a root beer float, is a decadent treat made with Johnnie Walker Black Label. The Johnnie Brown Sugar Boba is Earl Grey milk tea infused with the signature smoke of Johnnie Walker Black Label and served in a tall glass full of chewy boba. This boozy milk tea is definitely a must-try. “The limited edition highballs are fun and approachable,” shares Diageo Brand Ambassador Rian Asiddao. “We wanted to create highballs that would interest new whisky drinkers while also catering to loyal drinkers of Johnnie Walker.” The Johnnie Highball Bar was officially launched last April to select guests. The program was hosted by Nico Bolzico and Laureen Uy, who gave guests a taste of what to expect when they visit. Rian Asiddao took guests through the Johnnie Highball Spotlight Serves. Hosts Nico Bolzico and Laureen Uy Johnnie Walker also partnered with Mango Room Studios to bring in Butta B, Nix, and Steelo to keep the energy high with great music throughout the night, and attendees were also treated to a surprise special performance by Careless Music’s James Reid. Careless Music’s James Reid There’s a lot in store for the Johnnie Highball Bar, with exciting events, musical acts, and themed pop-ups keeping the thirsty crowd entertained on select nights. Check out live performances brought by Mango Room Studios on May 7 and May 14. Pair great burgers with whisky with Hungry Homies Pop-Up on May 6 to 7. Catch Massiah’s album release performance May 12 and the La Union Pop-Up on May 21. Apart from an immersive and interactive drinking experience, visitors who want to enjoy the highballs with ‘pulutan’ can order some of Locavore’s best dishes.
