Leviste Street, Makati City You don’t need to head to posh areas to get your cocktail fix. You can just head to your local sari-sari store and get yourself some local gin. This drink will change the way you look at gin bilog completely. It is infused with cucumber, which cuts the gin’s bite and leaves you with a smoother spirit. Add the calamansi, honey syrup, and mint, and you’ve got yourself a refreshing cocktail that will impress even the the most sophisticated of palates. Life will never be the same again. Ingredients: 45 ml Ginebra gin infused with cucumber for 1 day (peel and chop 300 g cucumber and mix one small Ginebra gin bottle) 30 ml calamansi juice 30 ml honey syrup (equal parts water and honey) 8 mint leaves soda water (to top) Directions: Add gin, calamansi juice and honey syrup in a shaker. Clap the mint before putting in the shaker. Add ice and shake. Pour into the Ginebra Gin bottle with a funnel. Top with soda. Garnish with mint. Serve with straw.
