In anticipation of the reboot of the 90’s movie Flatliners, we’ve decided to share the well-known shooter Flatline. It got its name from the red line of Tabasco in the middle of the shooter. The Tabasco is suspended between Sambuca (an Italian anise-flavoured, usually colourless, liqueur) and tequila (silver). This cool-looking drink is meant to be chugged in one go, with the tequila and tabasco sliding down the gullet first, leaving the cool sweetness of the Sambuca on the tongue, with the heat and spiciness at the back of the throat.

Ingredients:

  • 15 ml Sambuca
  • 15 ml tequila
  • drops of Tabasco

Directions:

  1. Pour sambuca in shotglass.
  2. Add drops of tabasco until it creates a line, float tequila on top.
