Don’t miss the second round of She Shakes in Manila. Catch 12 talented Filipina bartenders, including DrinkManila’s resident mixologist Icy Mariñas, as they work their magic behind the bar at The Spirits Library on October 17, 8 pm onwards. Taste signature serves featuring Maker’s Mark and Roku Gin. Think of this as the (unofficial) Whisky Live Manila pre-party. 

Part of the proceeds of the event will help fund Philippine contender, Faye Fernando, for her trip to the all-female speed bartending competition, Speed Rack 2019, happening in Hong Kong on October 27.

3) Michter’s Bar Takeover with John Ng

It’s time to sail the seven seas and learn about the famous Plantation Rum at Buccaneers in Poblacion on October 21. 

A by-invite-only Plantation Rum masterclass will commence in the afternoon with Maison Ferrand’s Sales Director, Matthieu Gouze. Industry participants will get to know the French-owned rum producer who bottles rums from all over the Caribbean.

3) He Walked This Way: A Tribute to Carlos Celdran

Gather at Intramuros to celebrate the life of an extraordinary man who gave everything for the City of Manila. In celebration of Carlos Celdran’s life and passion, there will be the last ever “Walk This Way” tour, to be conducted by Gabe Mercado. Afterward, it will be a night of toasts and tributes to the Pied Piper of Manila. 

Due to the high number of registrants, the Last Walk This Way Tour is now closed. The current number of registrants has far exceeded the original target number, and they can no longer accommodate more people. Walk-ins will not be accepted. The event will only accommodate those who have registered.

People who want to celebrate Carlos’s life can go to the tribute event at Puerta Real Gardens instead. The show will start at 7 pm.

For fans of Holgate, the cult craft brewery from Australia, you’re in for a treat at Single Origin Greenbelt on October 25, from 8 pm onwards. Customers who order Holgate’s Little Heifer, Mount Macedon Ale, Norton lager, or Road Trip IPA, get a Little Heifer for free (until supplies last).

Time: 4 pm to 1 am
Entrance: Free admission; Food and drinks are for sale 

People down south aren’t getting left out of the drink events. Molito Street Fair is launching its kick-off event for the BER season and bringing you booze, good food, and music all night long at the biggest Oktoberfest destination at the heart of Alabang! Guests can expect non-stop good music and 30 food and beverage selections at the resident chill spot of Brgy. Ayala Alabang.
