As the first local light beer in the Philippines, San Mig Light has been a staple in nights out and house parties alike. With only 100 calories per bottle, it is the favorite of drinkers who want to enjoy extended conversations with friends. San Mig Light celebrates its 20th year in a series of anniversary parties around the metro to give people different kinds of drinking experiences while enjoying their favorite light beer. Dubbed as San Mig Light 20 Light Years Throwback Party, the first leg of the three-week celebration kicked off at Metrowalk in Ortigas. San Mig Light treated the crowd to performances of bands like Moonstar88, who sang their biggest hits, and a special appearance by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray. Greenfield District The second leg of the series was in Greenfield District, which was the perfect place to have an extended drinking session with friends, as there were loads of food options for pulutan. The Sundown Sessions was a six-hour music treat, with sets from DJ Tsubasa and DJ Cupcakes bookending the night, and Music Band and Leanne & Naara performing covers of crowd favorites. The program included a parade of performers on stilts, acrobats, poi artists, and San Mig Light angels with gigantic angel wings. The crowd gave the beauty queen a warm welcome, as she took to the stage to announce San Mig Light’s P20 anniversary promo, where guests can get San Mig Light for only Php 20 for 20 minutes. As a gift to guests, buckets of San Mig Light were sent to their table to keep the celebration going. After the photo op, Kylie went around to participating bars around Greenfield to share the P20 for 20 minutes promo with its patrons. She made the rounds at Coal, Blackwood, Beer Factory, Ramen Bar, Uncle Cheffy, Eighties Bar & Bistro, and Habib Persian.
