As the biggest market of gin in the world, it’s only fitting to finally have a festival to celebrate this clear spirit. The first ever Manila Gin Festival, a celebration of the creativity, diversity and spirit of craft gin culture, is set to take place on April 21 to 22, 2023 at the BGC High Street Amphitheater. The two-day event will feature over 45 brands and is the perfect chance for gin lovers to sample and learn about different types of gin from various distilleries, taste unique gin-based cocktails, engage in activities while munching on food from curated artisan pop-up food stalls while enjoying live music and entertainment by bands and DJs. “We’re thrilled to bring together over 2,000 gin lovers from all over the Philippines for this year’s Manila Gin Festival,” says Simon Cote, the festival’s Managing Director. “Our aim is to provide a one-of-a-kind experience that showcases the best of the gin industry, from distillers and mixologists to gin enthusiasts and curious beginners.” The festival will be divided into three sessions: Friday, April 21 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and two sessions Saturday, April 22 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Each ticket includes admission to one session, a Manila Festival Gin and Tonic Glass, free sampling from over 45 different gins, and 2 premium drink tokens. Additional stubs for premium drinks are also available at Php 250 each or Php 1,000 for 5. There will be tables available, but it is best to wear comfortable footwear to make the it easier to maneuver the event area. Each session is five hours long, it may seem like it’s a sprint to try out all 45+ gins, make sure to pace yourself and do not forget to stay hydrated. There will be pop-up booths of your favorite BGC restaurants at the event, so make sure to munch on some food in between sips. It’s a social event as well, so it’s the perfect opportunity to mingle with other gin enthusiasts. It’s going to be two days of fun at this gin lover’s paradise , so don’t miss it!
