Do We Finally Have a Hangover Cure?

As drink enthusiasts, hangovers are just something that we all have to deal with at one point or another. We’ve all been at the nasty side of an epic night out, and it is not a pretty picture. There are some tips to follow to avoid dreaded hangovers, and some remedies to help you get back to normal for when they occur. But wouldn’t it be great if there was something that could prevent hangovers? 

Enter WrecOver, the first FDA-approved anti-hangover capsule in the local market. Made by Pampanga-based Nutriplus Laboratories Corporation, WrecOver is a food supplement that prevents hangovers and provides brain and liver protection through natural antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals such as Vitamin B-Complex, Vitamin C, Silymarin, Zinc, Magnesium, Taurine, Ginkgo Biloba, and N-Acetyl Cysteine. 

WrecOver comes in resealable, pocket-sized packaging that contains six capsules. Take three before you go drinking and the other three before you head to bed and wake up fresh and hangover-free. “The first three capsules prepare your body for the incoming surge of alcohol,” explains Anne Flores, WrecOver’s Marketing Manager. “The last three replenishes the body with vital nutrients that are replenished due to alcohol.”

WrecOver was officially launched last February in Polilya at Poblacion. A few social media influencers gave testimonials on how WrecOver has helped end their cycle of hangovers. 

It took around four years to develop, test, and get FDA approval for WrecOver. “As Filipinos, we love to socialize. However, drinking out can cause really bad hangovers,” says Anne. “This will really help the drinking community.” 

“Everybody reacts to alcohol differently,” Anne explains. “But with WrecOver, we tested it on so many people with different alcohol tolerance levels and also different kinds and volumes of alcohol. The most consistent results we got were when people drank three capsules before and three capsules after (a drinking session).”

“Nowadays, daily activities require much of our mental clarity and physical energy,” she adds. “As a brand, we want to be everyone’s new drinking buddy so that people can still perform their tasks efficiently and properly even after hanging out with friends the night before.”
