For Women’s Month, we’ve made a drink as a tribute to famed activist and political figure Eleanor Roosevelt, who advocated for expanded roles for women in the workplace, the civil rights of African Americans and Asian Americans, and the rights of World War II refugees. Eleanor is a creamy and well-balanced cocktail with a tart finish. The juniper berries highlight the tartness of the Okinawa gin.

Ingredients:

45 ml Okinawa Gin
15 ml pink peppercorn syrup
10 ml yellow chartreuse
20 ml lemon juice
3 crushed juniper berries
1 egg white
4 drops Angostura bitters

Directions:

Pour ingredients except for bitters into a shaker and shake.
Add ice and shake.
Strain into a glass.
Add bitters and express oils from lemon peel.
