The Pan Cocktail will be the star of every kind of party you will host or attend. It requires a bit of preparation, but the result is worth it. As visually appealing as it is delicious, this pretty punch will cool you down and get you buzzed. It’s fruity, sweet, and brings out the herbaceous qualities of the gin. Add more gin to your preference to make it spirit forward or swap the soda with sparkling water or tonic water for a low-calorie alternative.

Ingredients:

  • 300 ml gin
  • 120 ml Giffard Bergamot syrup
  • 60 ml simple syrup
  • 75 ml lemon juice fruits (pineapple, fuji apple, lime, lemon (plus the rinds)
  • herbs and spices (red and black peppercorns, rosemary)
  • 600 ml water
  • Sprite (to top) optional
  • More gin (added to preferred taste and strength)

Directions:

  1. In a pitcher, pour gin, water, Bergamot syrup. simple syrup, and lemon juice and mix.
  2. In a baking pan, arrange fruits and herbs.
  3. Pour the gin mixture over the fruits and herbs.
  4. Freeze. In a punch bowl, add ice.
  5. Carefully remove the frozen pan cocktail and place on top of ice (make sure your hands are clean, or use a plate to transfer the pan cocktail and flip over the ice).
  6. Pour more gin and Sprite to add more sweetness.
  7. Let the pan cocktail melt. Mix and enjoy.
