A hot cocktail for the bed weather? Exactly what we need! Kat created this cocktail as a warming treat for the gloomy season. “After a night of mixing drinks behind the bar, I just want something comforting and makes use of leftover ingredients that would otherwise go to waste,” shares Kat. 

This recipe works with citrus, apples, or pineapples, depending on your taste and what you have on your fridge feel free to experiment!  

Ingredients

500 ml leftover white wine chardonnay
75 ml Drambuie
75 g washed sugar 
1 pc peeled orange 
1 pc peeled lemon 
1 pc peeled lime 
1 pc star anise 
2 pcs cloves 
2 pcs cardamom 
3 g allspice 

Directions

Pour wine in the pot, add sugar and melt over low heat. 
Add other ingredients except for Drambuie.   
Simmer for 15 mins over low heat.
Add Drambuie, stir, and let sit for 5 mins. 
Strain into a teapot and serve. 
Garnish individual cups with dehydrated apple wheels.
