This perfect blend of bitter and sweet flavors might be an acquired taste, but it’s won the hearts of many. Every September, during Negroni Week, bars around the globe whip up their own versions of this beloved aperitif, all while raising money for great causes. What started with around 120 venues has skyrocketed to thousands, and together, they’ve raised over $5 million for charity. This year, Negroni Week will run from September 16 to 22, and it’s teaming up with Slow Food—an organization dedicated to making sure everyone has access to good, clean, and fair food. They’re on a mission to create a more sustainable food and beverage scene. You won’t want to miss out on Nikkei Nama Bar Rada, Fat Cat PH, and Apartment 1B both in Makati and at The Henry Hotel.
