Recipe by Guillermo “Jay” Natividad III, bartender at The Spirits Library

“I want to offer something unique and memorable for Christmas.” – Jay

Ingredients:

  • 45 ml Tanqueray gin
  • 15 ml lemongrass glitter syrup
  • 1 gram citric acid
  • 1 barspoon Orgeat syrup
  • Tonic water

  • Glass: sphere glass
  • Garnish: burnt rosemary and coconut pearl sphere
  • Ice: tube

Directions:

  1. Pour gin, syrup, and citric acid in a shaker.
  2. Add ice. Shake until chilled.
  3. Strain the mixture into a sphere glass. Top with tonic water.
  4. Use white fondant to attach a rosemary sprig on the lid of the sphere glass.
  5. Light the rosemary sprig. Close the lid of sphere glass to trap the smoke.
  6. Serve with a straw.

Tasting notes: This drink has an inviting smoky aroma and fun, surprising flavors: the cool and wintry snow globe presentation contains a refreshingly sour, minty, and fizzy cocktail with summery notes of coconut.
